Once you have used the lemon, set the seeds aside and rinse them thoroughly in room temperature water using a strainer. Then place them on paper towels and dry well. Then take the tweezers and start peeling the seeds by removing the skin that covers them.
Then take a small container, such as a yogurt jar, and fill it with a damp cotton ball. Place the seed in the cotton ball and let it sit for at least a week. After about 7 days, a small sprout will have emerged from the seed.
Keep the cotton ball and the environment moist so that the small seedling grows further until it has developed small roots. At this point, you need to plant the seed in a small pot, to which you need to add a mixture of soil and perlite to make sure the soil is well drained. After planting, the sprout will still need care. It should be kept in a well-lit, warm place, away from drafts. Make sure the soil is always moist, and wait for nature to do its job and grow a lemon tree that, when it grows, will give you juicy fruits.
